Prior to: Prepare yourself, breathe intentionally. Focus on breathing, taking deep breaths to calm your brain and nervous system. Mind over matter.
After plunging: Dry off with a towel and dress in warm layers, have a warm drink or meal and stay moving. Moving increases blood flow which helps accelerate your body’s natural warming process. Try not to immediately get into a hot shower or bath.
