Turning Up the Heat with Gavin "Hollywood" Hall | Presented By Virginia Natural Gas

Polar Plunge 2021 is almost here and Gavin Hall is TURNING UP THE HEAT!

Special Olympics Virginia athlete and golfer Gavin Hall has been a part of Polar Plunge for most of his life. It all started two decades ago when his dad, Chris, began volunteering for the event with Virginia Natural Gas. As Chris’ involvement in the Virginia Beach Plunge grew, so did the support of the entire family. Fundraising and plunging alongside the VNG Team soon became an annual tradition.

As soon as Gavin was old enough, he also became a big part of the volunteer event production crew in the weeks leading up to the event. Braving all weather conditions, he helps set up the Winter Festival that the colony has grown to love at the 31st Virginia Beach Oceanfront. On a normal Plunge Saturday, you can find Gavin at the beach stage, getting ready to take the plunge himself or cheering on his sister Chloe who is always one of the first Plungers into the water.

Of course, the Plunge going virtual hasn’t stopped the Halls from getting into the Plunge Spirit. Since Gavin can’t turn up the heat in everyone’s favorite Plunge, he’s staring in Plunge videos and showing everyone how to brave an ice bath in support of 23,000 Special Olympics Virginia athletes. Chloe is always by his side as the official towel holder, and they haven’t missed their chance to warm up by the fire afterward.
