Regional Partners Power Polar Plunge Impact Across the Commonwealth

Across the state, partners show up, bring communities together, and celebrate inclusion through giving back.

From Richmond to Northern Virginia’s Mosaic District, Prince William County and the New River Valley, Polar Plunge season brings communities together across the Commonwealth. Each regional plunge is powered by partners who believe in showing up, giving back and standing alongside Special Olympics Virginia’s more than 23,000 athletes.

We’re proud to recognize our silver-level and above regional partners whose support makes these unforgettable events — and the impact behind them — possible.

Richmond

Davis & Green is more than just a sponsor — their team has become synonymous with the Richmond Polar Plunge. From the very beginning, Davis & Green has sponsored, volunteered and plunged, and the 2026 Richmond Plunge was no different.

“The Polar Plunge is a favorite tradition for our team because it brings our people together around a meaningful cause. Through our Infinity partnership with Special Olympics Virginia, we’re honored to support athletes who inspire us with their determination, joy and resilience.”

As a gold sponsor, they once again showed up ready to plunge — costumes and all. With mascot Ollie in tow, Ollie’s Olympians raised $3,500 and braved the chilly water.

Mosaic

At the Mosaic District Plunge, Target continues to demonstrate its commitment to community by supporting athletes and celebrating inclusion alongside local plungers.

“At Target, community is very important to us and supporting Special Olympics Virginia is an exciting way to support the great work you do, empowering athletes and strengthening our Mosaic community,” said Rick Bailey, Mosaic Target Store Director.

Prince William

In Prince William County, The Rose is committed to strengthening the local community by creating jobs, promoting business stability and driving meaningful economic impact. Together, The Rose Gaming Resort and Rosie’s Gaming Emporiums statewide support local organizations and important causes through the “Rosie’s Gives Back” program. To date, Rosie’s Gives Back has provided more than $5.4 million in monetary and in-kind contributions to the communities where they operate.

“The Rose Gaming Resort is proud to champion the fundraising efforts of Special Olympics Virginia and its mission to create a welcoming, inclusive environment for athletes of all abilities through our continued sponsorship of Polar Plunge community events,” said Bobbi Sample, General Manager at The Rose.

New River
“Always ice cold and stocked with your favorites” — that’s how many would describe the beverage selection at Gobble Stop, but the same could be said for their plunge team.

For the last three years, Team Gobble Stop has been one of our favorite sponsors, and their team always goes for the cold. Whether it’s the river or an above-ground pool, they make the biggest splash — in the water and in their convenience stores — raising funds for Special Olympics Virginia. We’re so glad they’re part of our colony.
