Prince William County Plunge

Entertainment

There's lots to do on Plunge day aside from Plunge -- don't miss the below great activities!

Sand Sculptors

Team Sandtastic will be creating a huge Polar Plunge Sand Sculpture beginning Friday, Feb. 1, 2008. The team will be completing the sculpture during Plunge Day. Come out and see this awesome sculpture being created and receive some tips from the experts!

The Polar Plunge is a day full of fun. Come out to one of the largest single fundraisers around! And watch hoards of crazy folks -- some dressed in crazy costumes -- run into the freezing water, all for a good cause.

Watching folks freeze isn't the only entertainment we have either! Inside our 12,000 sq. ft. heated tent we have all sorts of vendors for you to visit.

Want to make it a special event? Make it a get-a-way weekend! Last year, we sold out 4 hotels with just folks staying over and enjoying the nightlife at places like Mahi Mah's and Laverine's. Throw in more than 8,000 spectators and you're gauranteed to have fun!

Polar Plunge XVI takes place Saturday February 2, 2008. The day starts at 10am with plunger registration, rides, games, bands, music, and food and beverages. The actual plunge takes place at 2:30pm.

Live Music is always a part of the Polar Plunge. Stay tuned for information on this year's live musical entertainment!

Ice Carving

Beautiful Polar Sculptures will be created from huge, 320 lb. blocks of ice. Check out all the fun and excitement when the ice chips start to fly!

Kids Zone

The Polar Plunge Winter Festival is truly a family event. Bring the kids and enjoy the kids zone, which features inflatable rides for kids of all ages. Other activities, like the Virginia Beach Fire Department's Monster Fire Truck and a portable sand soccer field for kids, will be waiting for you in the KIDS ZONE!

There is no fee to view the Plunge. There is a $5 donation for access in to the heated tent and festival area on the beach.
